I don't agree with description of the Lucknow Pact being a galvanising factor of Hindu-Muslim Unity. There are a lot of events that took place to the contrary that in-fact show that the two-nation theory was far more accepted amongst the Muslims rather than any bit of unity because, of events such as the Moplah Genocide, and the Gulbarga Genocide against Hindus, committed by the Muslims. Furthermore, the Khilafat Movement was led and founded upon the foundation that it would move forward on the basis of the tenets of Shariat and not for the sake of Independance.
